Diver City Tokyo Plaza is located on the artificial island Odaiba (お台場) in Tokyo Bay. It also happens to be a place of pilgrimage for many hardcore Gundam fans. Gundam (ガンダム) is an anime franchise revolving around giant robots (“mecha”) known as “mobile suits”. Diver City is home to the only full-size Gundam statue in the world. Right next to the Gundam statue is a Gundam Cafe, and inside the shopping centre is Gundam Front Tokyo – a Gundam museum.

Eorzea Cafe is located in Akihabara, a suburb of Tokyo known for it’s electronics, anime and video game shops. Eorzea is a Final Fantasy XIV themed cafe – based on a place in the game – which opened in 2014. We first visited in 2014, and since then the menu has been updated.
